Editorial standards
Every deal is reviewed by a human before it publishes.
Kit’s Deals is editorially-curated. Discovery is partly automated; publication is not. Here’s the full process.
1. Discovery
Our system observes prices across retailers and flags candidates that meet a meaningful discount threshold — at least 10% below the running average we’ve observed for that product, or 20% below MSRP.
2. Human review
A reviewer evaluates each candidate against:
- Is the price real and currently honored on the retailer’s page?
- Is the product accurately identified — right model, not a sister SKU?
- Is the link canonical and stable?
Candidates that fail any check are rejected with a structured reason and never publish.
3. Publication
Approved deals are published with the original retailer URL and a clear “Get it at [retailer]” CTA. Affiliate-eligible links are appropriately marked and disclosed; see our affiliate disclosure for the full FTC-compliant statement.
4. Expiry
Deals expire after 7 days by default, or earlier if the retailer ends the promotion. We don’t leave stale prices on the site.
No paid placement
We do not accept payment for editorial placement. Our affiliate relationships do not influence which deals we publish — we publish the best deal regardless of whether the retailer is an affiliate partner. Where we have an affiliate relationship and the deal price is identical, we may prefer the affiliate link to support the site.
AI use disclosure
We use AI assistance internally for deal discovery and price monitoring. AI does not click affiliate links, does not generate conversion events, and does not interact with retailer purchase flows. All affiliate clicks originate from human visitors to this site.
